The data is stored in a proprietary, patented PQZip compressed format, using Microsoft SQL database.  The compressed format is stored both in the device itself and at a database, although there are small changes between the two (in the device the compression algorithm is optimized for fast compression while in the computer it is optimized for fast de-compression).  This process requires 12 GB/year/device of free disk space, which is used both for the data and the PNode application.   With PQZip technology, data is compressed witha typical compression ratio of 1000:1.  It is our experience that the disk space and communications required are comparable to uncompressed data with thresholds (e.g. those in EN50160 standard).   The large amount of data is easy to manage through the graphic software interface.  You can see all the information at a glance and identify the focal points yourself.  The unit stamps the time where standard (or user-defined) thresholds are passed and allows you to go to this time directly.  In addition, you can even specify thresholds AFTER you log the information, changing it at any time.  This way, you will never miss important information but can still filter the data as you like.
